The sun sets earlier each day,
Summer trips are now memories and pictures to share,
No one will forget,
Now happiness is a cold breeze and overcast skies,
Warm coffee and the company of a good book,
The return of fall,
Fresh pencils and eager minds of young children and adults,
Restless yet willing to learn something new,
What an authentic desire,
Rising before the rest of world,
A chance to breath in deep before the chaos begins,
Tranquil mornings have returned,
The return of fall brings my heart to life,
I see endless beauty in the darkened sky and fallen leaves,
Everything seems possible again.
